1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Ayarel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ayarel. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all registration information you provide is truthful and accurate.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide a valid email address and accurate personal information.
  • You may not create multiple accounts.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. How the Service Works

Ayarel enables proximity-based social discovery. When your profile is active, other users nearby can see your profile information (display name, photos, bio) based on your visibility settings.

  • Discovery requires physical proximity — you can only see people who are nearby.
  • You control your visibility through profile activation and preference settings.
  • You can block any user, which immediately and permanently removes them from your discovery and you from theirs.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Upload content that is illegal, obscene, hateful, or depicts minors
  • Create fake, impersonating, or misleading profiles
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, scrape data, or access other users' accounts
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service
  • Spoof or manipulate your location to deceive other users
  • Use the Service to collect or harvest personal information about other users
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service

6. Content & Moderation

  • You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute it within the Service as necessary for its operation.
  • All user-uploaded images are subject to automated content moderation (AI scanning for inappropriate content) and may be reviewed manually by our moderation team.
  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our standards, without prior notice.
  • You can report any user or content that you believe violates these Terms.

7. Identity Verification

Ayarel offers optional face verification to earn a verified badge. By using this feature, you consent to having a mathematical representation of your face created and stored (encrypted) for the purpose of verifying your profile photo authenticity. You can request removal of this data at any time.

8. Safety & User Interactions

  • Ayarel facilitates discovery — we are not responsible for user behaviour outside the platform.
  • Exercise caution when meeting people for the first time. Meet in public places and inform someone you trust.
  • If you feel unsafe, use the block and report features immediately.
  • We may cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when necessary to protect user safety.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including temporary suspension for investigation or permanent ban for serious violations.
  • You may delete your account at any time from within the app. This permanently removes all your data (see our Privacy Policy for details).
  • We may discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

10. Intellectual Property

The Ayarel name, logo, and app design are our property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission. The Service and its underlying technology are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy or authenticity of any user-provided content, including verified badges.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ayarel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Interactions with other users, whether online or offline
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
  • Any other matter relating to the Service

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is incorporated. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
